ELEVGRID / PROCUREMENT QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

Find practical answers before your next equipment enquiry—from defining the supply scope to preparing documents and discussing delivery.

These answers help you prepare an enquiry. Project-specific technical and commercial details need confirmation in the relevant offer and agreed documents; this page does not set contract terms.

Products & Supply Scope

What should I include in a supply-scope enquiry?

List the equipment or components required, quantities, application and project destination. Separate essential items from optional accessories and identify customer-supplied items. Availability and the proposed supply scope require project-specific confirmation.

Can I enquire about a complete package or a single item?

Specify whether you need one item or a coordinated equipment package, and identify the interfaces between items. Package coverage, supply responsibilities and exclusions must be confirmed for the project; an enquiry does not establish a turnkey commitment.

Technical Requirements

Which technical details should I provide?

Share available ratings, voltage levels, frequency, application, site conditions and installation constraints, together with the applicable specification. Mark preliminary values and unknowns clearly so the basis for technical review is identifiable.

Can I send an enquiry before the specification is complete?

Share the information available and mark missing items “To be confirmed”. Include your project stage and key constraints. Technical suitability and any quotation basis remain subject to clarification and project-specific confirmation.

Drawings & Documentation

Which drawings and files are useful for an initial enquiry?

Include available single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, specifications, interface drawings or nameplate photographs, as relevant. Identify document dates and revisions, and flag conflicting information. Use the current RFQ form instructions for supported files and upload limits.

Can I request drawings, manuals or other project documents?

List the documents, language, format and review stages you require, including any approval deadlines. Document availability, content, issue timing and approval responsibilities require project-specific confirmation; do not assume a standard document package is included.

Standards & Compliance

How should I specify standards and local requirements?

State the required standards and editions, project specifications, destination and any utility or authority requirements. Flag requirements that differ between documents. Applicable requirements and any proposed deviations need project-specific review and confirmation.

Are certifications or approvals available for every product?

Certification or approval must be checked for the specific offered equipment and project. Identify the evidence required and request confirmation of its scope, issuer and applicability. A website reference to a standard does not establish certification or local acceptance.

Testing & Inspection

Which tests and test records can be included?

Identify the required tests, acceptance criteria and reports in your enquiry. Test scope, applicable methods, records, costs and timing require project-specific confirmation. Do not assume routine, type or special tests are all included in an offer.

Can I request FAT, witness testing or third-party inspection?

State your factory acceptance test (FAT), witness or inspection requirements, including the proposed inspector, notice period and reporting needs. Feasibility, access, schedule, responsibilities and associated costs must be confirmed for the project before arrangements are made.

OEM & Replacement Parts

What information is needed for a replacement part?

Share the original manufacturer and model, nameplate or part number, equipment age if known, photographs, dimensions and interface requirements. Compatibility and replacement availability require project-specific confirmation; a matching description or photograph alone is insufficient.

Can I request OEM components or a custom configuration?

Provide the component specification, drawings, quantities and any branding or approval requirements. Feasibility, design responsibilities, tooling needs and commercial scope require project-specific confirmation. An enquiry does not establish OEM authorization or interchangeability.

Quotation & RFQ Preparation

What should I prepare before requesting a quotation?

Include your contact details, equipment scope, quantity, destination, available technical documents and requested dates. List required documents, tests and delivery responsibilities, and mark open points. Use the RFQ form to submit the information available.

How are price, MOQ and payment terms determined?

Price, minimum order quantity (MOQ), payment terms and quotation validity require project-specific confirmation based on the proposed scope and commercial review. State your quantity and purchasing requirements; do not assume website content is a price list or a standing offer.

How can I obtain a lead time or delivery estimate?

Provide the requested delivery date, destination and any approval milestones. Lead time, its starting conditions and the delivery estimate require project-specific confirmation against the reviewed scope and supply arrangements. Your requested date is a planning input, not a confirmed commitment.

Packaging & Delivery Coordination

How should I specify packaging requirements?

Describe the expected transport mode, handling constraints, storage conditions and any required packing marks or destination-specific requirements. Packaging method, preservation measures, dimensions and costs require project-specific confirmation.

Can freight, customs or destination delivery be included?

State the destination, delivery point and requested allocation of freight, insurance, customs and unloading responsibilities. Transport feasibility, documents, costs, delivery terms and included services require project-specific confirmation. No destination coverage or customs outcome is implied.

After-sales & Lifecycle Information

What warranty and after-sales support apply?

Warranty scope, duration, exclusions and support arrangements require project-specific confirmation in the applicable offer and agreed documents. Identify any required on-site service or response arrangements before ordering; no universal warranty or response time is stated here.

What should I provide for an after-sales enquiry?

Provide the order reference, equipment identification, relevant document revisions and a clear description of the issue with available photographs or records. Use your agreed project contact or the Contact page. The next steps and any service availability require project-specific confirmation.

Can I plan future spares or lifecycle documentation?

Identify critical components, anticipated spare quantities and the records needed for future maintenance or replacement enquiries. Ask for project-specific confirmation of recommended spares and available documents. Future availability, retention periods and service life are not guaranteed by this FAQ.
